Green Close Studios managed a series of three innovative visual arts commissions for artists to explore, through their own practice, the complex cultural interfaces between environment & society within the context of
the Forest of Bowland landscape.

Innovation Commission : View Sumit Sarkar's first piece



Artist Sumit Sarkar is a visual artist, whose artwork takes the form of digital and canvas paintings, digital sculpture, 3D animation and work inspired by graffiti.

Early Career Commission

Artist Helen Saunders was selected for the early careers commission although only graduating in 2008, Helen has already worked on other public art commissions and exhibited across the UK. Her photo-collage work is an exploration of the natural and man made.

The Community Engagement Commission
Photographer Veronica Caperon was selected to work on the Community Engagement Commission. Veronica has worked on a large number of Community and Rural Photography Projects as well as working with the public both in the UK and abroad. She has exhibited widely across the UK. Veronica worked with the communities of Lawland, Eldroth and Keasden to produce photographic banners
